In the spirit of the 25th anniversary celebration of the franchise, Crystal Dynamics is collaborating with famous and talented artists throughout the year to bring you a wide array of unique box art reimaginations of the main Tomb Raider games. In this reimagining series, you can expect comic Lara, anime Lara, photo-real Lara, and so on.
In June Megan Lara (Illustrator for clients such as Dark Horse comics, Quantum Mechanix, Teefury, The Yetee, Syfy, Marvel, Loot Crate, and also Designer for shows, comics and movies such as Firefly, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Dr. Horrible's Sing-A-Long Blog, The Guild, Battlestar Galactica - among many others...) reimagines the cover art of Tomb Raider V: Chronicles.
Megan replaced Lara's classic outfit with the opera dress, showcasing our heroine's feminine side, and picked several integral scenes, easter eggs and locations from the game to include as vignettes and design elements around her - all in Art Nouveau style!
